The tunes are flowin'!
Well, it feels like we've settled down nicely in the brand new contemporary worship center at FLC - last night's song writing session was VERY productive! 4 new songs and counting - I wonder how many we'll have for our new CD this fall?

First Lutheran's new contemporary worship space dedication is this Sunday, January 30th!
A lot is happening with GRD - radio interviews, the new CD has taken off, we're working on new material - the list goes on! But I also wanted to make sure everyone is aware of the dedication for First Lutheran Church's brand new contemporary worship center, this Sunday at 6:30. We rehearsed in it for the first time Monday night, and all I can say is WOW! I feel truly blessed to be a part of this exciting endeavor - the band sounds great, the sound system is awesome, and the folks running the sound and lights are professionals in every way.
Please join us this Sunday for our contemporary SHOUT service as we lift our voices in praise and worship to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
(there will be food, too! See you there!)

Thank you, WBFJ!
A big shout out to Kurt at WBFJ for inviting us to come and speak to him yesterday afternoon for a radio interview. We had a great time!
The entire interview will be loaded on their website soon (we'll keep you posted), and then in a few weeks, a 4 minute segment (with music) will be aired 4 times during a weekend (we are thinking February 11-13).
Thanks so much for all the fan support out there, and keep listening to WBFJ (103.5). You may hear a familiar voice one day very soon! :-)

Just a quick update
Hey guys!
Just wanted to say hello and give a quick update on the band.
We all miss Emily while she takes some time to "rest" ... I mean... recover with her new baby boy, Silas. We can't wait for everyone to meet him at our next show!
Steve has added a new excitement to the group and is bringing an edge to our sound that will guarantee to leave your ears ringing! Steve and I have played music over the past several years in various groups. I can honestly say that we are the tightest "drum and bass" duo in southern half of the United States. :)
We have been working through new ways of writing and blending our various backgrounds of music into the new originals. We always love to hear your input and are very open to excepting possible lyrics into our music. We are all children of God and His words speak through all of us. We simply want to spread those words through the love of music.
I hope you all have a wonderful week and we will pray that the snow stays away! ...unless, you are like me and just would like to have a few days off. ;)
God Bless!!

And they called him Silas...
We are excited to announce that GRD members, Luke and Emily, welcomed their precious son, Silas Coe, this afternoon at 3:45pm.
Silas weighed 7 pounds and 6 ounces and was 21 inches long.
Mom, Dad, and Baby are all doing great...and Big Sister, Zoe, is a natural. :-)

A New Year...A New Member of GRD!
If it's one thing that Steve Gray knows how to do, it's rock! And rock he shall!
We are super excited to officially introduce Steve as the newest member and new drummer of Grace Reigns Down. Steve is no stranger to Grace Reigns Down (our bass player, Brandon, is his son-in-law!) so it's been an easy transition welcoming Steve aboard. Here is a little bit about Steve in his own words.
Hometown: Woodleaf, NC (What do you mean you've never heard of it? It's a bustling suburb of Salisbury. Salisbury, NC! Surely you've heard of my high school alma mater, West Rowan High School? They just won their third straight football 3-A state championship and have the longest winning streak in the entire nation. But I don't wanna brag...)
Family: The love of my life- my wife, Athena; my beautiful daughters, Courtney and Brandy; and my wonderful step-daughters, Audrey, Angela, and Ashley- I love them more than words can say!
Favorite Foods: Mediterranean dishes; Mexican food; Or a nice juicy steak always hits the spot.
Pet Peeves: Filling out questionairres for bios (ha ha, very funny, Steve)
Hobbies: Where to begin? Hiking, camping, history, politics, science, literature, audio and video production, music and movies, travel...the list just goes on!
Proudest Moments: When Courtney and Brandy were born.
Most interesting place ever visited: If I had to pick one...hmmmmm...the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A drummer!
What inspires you? My wife and family.
What makes you smile? My loved ones.
Favorite vacation spots: St. Maartan; New York City.
Why are you excited to play with GRD? "Grace Reigns Down!" Well, it's right there in the name of the band, isn't it? It's the message we offer in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Also, we actually have a plan and set goals! And of course great people to work with and great songs to play are icing on the cake.
